Sander Kleinenberg serves up The Deepest Mixtape In The Universe #3

“I’m gonna take you on a little bit of a tour of everything I love in house music today. So follow me and join me on this ride into the funky underground.”

Sander Kleinenberg dropped the third volume in his acclaimed The Deepest Mixtape In The Universe mix series on SoundCloud yesterday, rounding up some of his favourite house grooves of the moment.

As we’ve come to expect from the Dutch hero, it’s a typically eclectic affair. Kicking off with the disco-infused sounds of Hot Natured and Infinity Ink singer Ali Love, moving through funked-up deepness into the “phenomenal” sounds of Australia’s The Aston Shuffle, the grunting bass of Riton, bouncy garage-infused house from Frances and Dennis Quin and into increasingly rowdy sounds. The likes of Sinden, DJ Zinc and Icarus fly the flag for the UK bass music scene in the second half of the mix, while Quiet Disorder and others bring that cutting-edge, hyperactive take on the house template.

It’s another great snapshot of the full spectrum of peak-time house music, with Sander giving some insight into his selections along the way. With the series clocking up over 25,000 plays so far, it’s set to be a stereo mainstay across the festive period.

Speaking of which, the next few weeks will see Sander play Madero Beachclub in the Netherlands, Together As One in Los Angeles on NYE and Verboten in New York. To top off this list of performances, Sander will return to Space Miami on January 9th, after 5 years of absence.
