Following club conquering releases from the likes of Nicky Romero, Spencer & Hill and, most recently, Daddy’s Groove and Cryogenix, the fifth installment on David Guetta’s flourishing Jack Back Records label is a heavyweight new collaboration between Guetta himself and rising Dutch duo GLOWINTHEDARK featuring British vocalist Harrison.
Always keen to bring through new and exciting talent, after being introduced at Winter Music Conference in the US earlier this year, it wasn’t long before Guetta got into the studio with GLOWINTHEDARK to record ‘Ain’t A Party’, and the creative energy between them is electric. Built around the raw vocal refrain, the track’s tough and propulsive drops are juxtaposed against an infectious guitar-driven breakdown replete with cooing vocals and driving beats to create a fresh, high-octane production for the summer.
The new single, which is out now on Beatport, will also feature on the ‘F**k I’m Famous Ibiza Mix 2013′ compilation. The forthcoming mix is out on 24th June to celebrate the launch of Cathy and David Guetta’s annual residency at Pacha, Ibiza. Across 16 tracks, the 2013 mix features an upfront and energetic selection of some of the biggest tracks so far this year, from sure-fire club fillers and number 1 tracks to underground anthems. Extremely talented young Dutch duo GLOWINTHEDARK, made up of Albert Harvey and Kevin Ramos, have quickly established themselves as a formidable talent. They have released music with CR2, Big Beat and Dirty Dutch amongst others, having been heavily championed by DJ Chuckie, and continue to be increasingly sought after for both their productions skills and DJing talents.
The single features the raw rallying cry vocals of fast-rising singer songwriter Harrison. While he may be a new name to some, you can be sure that it won’t remain this way for long. The young artist’s talent is immediately evident in his versatile and infectious contribution to the single and it hasn’t gone unnoticed, quickly leading to him working with some of dance music’s most revered names. Having already built a loyal fan base with over 32k twitter followers, the second half of 2013 looks set to be a busy one for Harrison.
