Jewelz & Sparks vs. D.O.D – ‘Hoe’

German duo, Jewelz & Sparks, have teamed up with UK-based producer/DJ, D.O.D on a massive new mainstage tune, ‘Hoe’. The chord progression in the buildup begins with a rockin’ drumkick and then leads into vocal chops that foreshadow the energy of the drop. Right before the drop a distorted male voice yells, ‘Somebody say hoeeee!’ and then the crowd responds by yelling ‘heyyyyy’, leading into a bouncy drop with a heavy bassline. Jewelz & Sparks and D.O.D use a call and response pattern for this high energy original. This electro house banger will absolutely be a mainstage crowd favorite as we near festival season. Be on the lookout because you’ll want to release all of your energy during this song!

Jewelz & Sparks stormed onto the scene in 2012 with two massive progressive house tunes that they released on Fedde Le Grand’s Flamingo Recordings. Since then they have released originals on Cr2, Revealed Recordings, DOORN Records, Calvin Harris’ Fly Eye Records, and Tiësto’s Musical Freedom. Their songs ‘Unless We Forget’ and ‘Pharaoh’, which released on Revealed, have both hit over 1 million plays on Soundcloud. They also did an official remix for Benny Benassi’s hit, ‘Satisfaction’. To end 2015, their single ‘I Can Fly’ hit number 1 on the Beatport progressive house chart. They released their latest original, ‘Drip’ on Blasterjaxx’s Maxximize Records one month ago. The rest of 2016 is looking promising for this German duo.

Though D.O.D has only been in the dance music scene for a few years, he quickly gained the attention of some very important people. He released his first two originals on Laidback Luke’s Mixmash Records and then collaborated with him on ‘Flashing Lights’ for his third release. To end 2015, he released ‘Why’, a collaboration with Futuristic Polarbears on Afrojack’s Wall Recordings. Then just under a month ago, Afrojack released an edit of D.O.D’s song, ‘Taking You Back’. He premiered it on the mainstage of Ultra Miami and it has been heavily supported by the likes of Martin Garrix, The Chainsmokers, Steve Aoki, and Oliver Heldens to name a few. Keep your eye on this guy!
