Rene Amesz

reneameszFew people have displayed the disciplined approach to producing that René Amesz has shown in the last decade. Churning out a steady stream of his unique and dirty sounding tracks, the René Amesz sound has been destroying speakers all over the world!

Rene’s already set to make 2010 an outstanding year: ‘Without Love’; a collaboration with Baggi Begovic, has been released in February and together with him, Rene will also compile a mix album for Nervous Records which will be released early April. As well as this, René’s solo track ‘Coriander’ has been signed to the ever growing Sneakerz Muzik label. Coriander is set to be released early April as well. He’s currently remixing Fedde’s ‘Back & Forth’ and Meck ft. Dino’s ‘Feels Like A Prayer’ on Toolroom Records. Besides that tracks from artists like Sebastien Lintz (Spinnin’ Records) and Oscar G (Nervous Records) are being remixed by René. With this steady stream of releases and a hectic touring schedule, René Amesz is most definitely at the top of his game right now!

René’s first success as a producer came when he started producing records for Mid-Town under various monikers. That’s what really started his hunger for his own sound, all based on phat beats, sick grooves and a unique approach towards arrangements and sounds. René’s responsible for tracks such as ‘Strike Me Down’ on Wally Lopez’s La Factoria Records, the mighty ‘You Make Me Climb The Wall’ on Sander Kleinenberg’s Little Mountain Recordings and remixes for Danny Tenaglia, Tom Stephan, D. Ramirez and Mark Knight to name but a few. In 2004, René met the guys from Extrema Music who were immediately taken by his determination and approach. This resulted in a number of releases that first showcased René’s new sound. These included his first EP on Deep Focus called ‘Courisha’ and the breathtaking ‘I like Sex’, which immediately grabbed public attention. Other releases that helped carve René’s signature sound were ‘I’ve Been Away’ on Lowriders Records and ‘I’m Your Doctor’ on Nu Republic, which crossed René’s sleazy style to the masses in 2005.

From then onwards René’s career took a sharp turn upwards and forwards. Little Mountain successfully released the fierce ‘Back into the Funk’ and a bunch of other amazing releases followed on various labels such as La Factoria, Stereo productions, Extrema, DK records and Deep Records with remixes for Nic Fanciulli, Jamie Anderson, Muzzaik, Lexicon Avenue and Mark Knight.

2009 was René’s craziest year so far. His performances at venues like Club Eden in Seoul, Ministry Of Sound London, a US tour, an Australian tour and of course Extrema Outdoor were legendary. In that same year René released several EP’s including ‘Paso’ on Mastiksoul’s label 4Kenzo and ‘Ridicule’ on Little Mountain Recordings. He’s also remained active remixing tracks for Toolroom and Spinnin’ Records to name but a few.
