A groovy, house-orientated to electric-minimal sound with the right amount of sex appeal, as well as her provocative, glamorous and inspiring charisma behind the turntables, send the masses – and the promoters – into ecstasies. Despite her young age and today’s digital age she prefers to work, totally “old school”, with records.
An enthusiasm for electronic music, nightlife in the „Harz“ region and the promoting and organising of diverse events encouraged Pretty to develop her creative streak very early in life and from then on she wanted more…it was clear which direction her life was going to take. Her love of the colour pink rapidly provided a pseudonym. Known to her friends as “positively” crazy, permanently styled in subtle pink but always remaining sweet, charming and pretty, the idea of “Pretty Pink” soon took off.
Self-critical and highly motivated, she set down to work as “Pretty Pink”. Her lofty aspiration for quality rather than quantity and the desire to continually hone her skills was impressive. Bookings and requests to organise events piled up. A true HYPE arose around Pretty Pink. She became a local hero. A star was born…
Her talent on the turntables was quickly recognised and she was coaxed into her first live- set before an audience at the Klima Club Lounge, Ilsenburg, the “IN” club of the Harz region. To have your “coming-out” as a DJ before 1000 screaming, revelling party guests is certainly the (bad) dream of every “turntable artist”…
Pretty Pink is a multi-talent – as well as her now worldwide gigs, she works as a designer, organises her own events and studies media design – she could also be called “busy” Pink. Always hungry for knowledge and success, these are the hallmarks of Pretty Pink and why she is such a special person.
Pretty’s swift, ambitious climb into the international house-music scene has already taken her to Morocco, France, Italy, Holland, Canada, Lebanon, Austria, Czech Republic, Poland, Brazil and Switzerland.
The innumerable highlights in her career to date have included playing at the Ladies Esphe- ra Festival in Brazil, at the great festivals like Love Parade, Nature One and the SMS. Her first-class credentials include clubs such as Time Supper Club Montreal, New Autodromo Bari, Maxxim Club Berlin, Essence Club Essen and many more.
Her media breakthrough came in 2008 with the publication of the CD “God is a DJane” Volume 1, which she mixed herself. This appeared on More Music and presents music by artists such as Steve Angello, Ian Carey and David Guetta, among others.
